Lincoln Town Cars, Mercury Grand Marquis, & Ford Crown Victorias built in 1992 and 1993 have been investigated nationwide for spontaneous engine compartment fires, occurring while the car is not running. These fires have been documented from as little as 20 minutes to over three days after the car was last used. A number of these fires have taken place while the vehicle was garaged, destroying peoples homes and lives. A recall was issued, but -
